PURPOSE THROUGH SERVICE
Long before I was raising cattle at Chiles Ranch or building belts at Macks Belts, I had the honor of serving my country as a United States Navy SEAL.
Serving alongside some of the finest men I have ever known was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to go downrange with men of such character, courage, and caliber—and to serve at the tip of the spear in defense of our country.
Those years shaped who I am today, and the lessons, bonds, and memories I gained along the way will stay with me for the rest of my life.
My time deployed in the Middle East and Africa taught me the true gift of America and how precious life is. I gained a deeper appreciation for the freedoms we often take for granted and the sacrifices that make them possible. I witnessed an evil few will ever know, experienced true Brotherhood, and came home with an even deeper gratitude for the country I was honored to serve.

You rely on the skill of the teammate beside you and you push each other to be the best.
You take pride in your work and constantly hone your craft.

I could go on and on about what I learned while wearing the uniform with my brothers, downrange in a desert far from home.
A career-ending injury and early retirement from Special Operations was never the plan I had imagined for myself. But I’m grateful that I wasn’t more seriously injured, and I’m thankful for the years I was given to serve.
More than anything, I feel incredibly blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity to build a civilian life after my time in the military. That second chapter is something I will never take for granted.
I carry a deep sense of gratitude for the men and women who served alongside me, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Their sacrifice is a constant reminder of how precious life is and how grateful and thankful I am for the life I have today in America. Much of the decisions I have made in my business endeavors are how I honor those brave heroes.
Like a lot of veterans, I had to figure out what came next and find a new way to serve this country that I so deeply love.
I had to find a way contribute, and build something meaningful to honor the sacrifices of my brothers.
That journey wasn't a straight path for me. I struggled a lot. But i had a lot of help from older frogmen who showed me a new path forward.
This lead me on a creative path of building tools with my hands which for me was a form of Art.
Eventually this lead to building handmade belts that my brothers could take to WAR
ONE BELT AT A TIME
After retiring from the SEAL Teams I couldn't find a job.
COVID was full bore in America and I still had speech and severe cognitive problems.
Nobody would hire me.
At this point my life was pretty much a wreck and was now living in my truck. I was embarrassed by my situation and struggling on whether or not to keep going.
Theres a longer story to it but I started working with old leather belts from thrift stores that I could find and buy for a few dollars.
I would repurpose those old belts into dog collars and sold them on social media to make ends meet.
I would sell a few dog collars a day and that would get me through the day. I wasn't proud of this "Job" but it was helping me get by while the world was burning and my head was pounding.
I didn't even want to tell people about what I was doing for work but that process of working with my hands eventually turned into something much much bigger.
When some of my former SEAL buddies learned I was making leather products they asked me to build custom belts for them as they prepared to go back overseas
That changed everything for me!
I started looking at belts differently. I wasn't interested in making something that simply looked good. I wanted to build something that could take a beating, something dependable, something made the way I believed equipment should be made.
A run and gun style belt built to survive the harshest of conditions from the Sea, Air to the Land!
My time in the SEAL teams and overseas experiences influenced the way I designed and built my belts.
I focused on every damn detail, the hardware design, the raw materials, the steel, the thickness of the thread, distance between stitches, absolutely anything and everything that had to do with the construction.
I refined each point that I thought was a failure in modern belt designs.
For me my belts weren't just an apparel accessory but it was a tool and I was putting my reputation behind it.

Today, we're still building those belts with American leather, American steel, and American thread, and using old American-made equipment some of which were used in World War 2. My team and I have built an amazing brand and product that is truly unbeatable and our customer base is full of beyond satisfied five star owners!

Two years ago I was looking for an additional way to serve my country and give back to the state which has given me so much.
When I began learning about the growing need for more American ranchers, I saw an opportunity to take the experiences, relationships, and lessons I had gained from the SEAL Teams & Macks Belts and apply them to agriculture and food service here in Florida.
After much thought and careful planning I decided to go ALL IN and build a vertically integrated beef and cattle business that would be 100% American from the ground up—from raising cattle and producing quality beef to working with local processors and ultimately putting that food on the tables of families in our communities.
My goal was not simply to build another cattle and beef business here in Florida, but to create an operation that strengthens the state's agricultural supply chain, keeps more economic opportunity in local communities, and demonstrates what can be accomplished when local businesses invest in one another
A major part of my vision was empowering local packing houses and processors. By creating consistent demand and building strong relationships with these businesses and large venues in Florida, my hope was to help keep jobs, skills, and economic activity right here in my state rather than relying on increasingly distant and consolidated supply chains.
Just as important, I wanted the business to have a direct impact on the people and communities around us. Food insecurity is a reality for far too many families, and I believe those who have the ability to help have a responsibility to do so.
My goal in our first year was to provide a few hundred pounds of high-quality, American-raised beef to food-insecure families across Florida, turning the success of the business into a tangible resource for the communities we serve. In 2025 we far exceeded my expectations in Beef donations! We created a lot of smiles and fed a lot of great people!
For me Chiles Ranch & Palm Cattle Company is ultimately about more than cattle or beef.
It is about service, self-reliance, American agriculture, and building something that creates opportunity for others in my immediate area and provides my customers with exceptional beef.
My wife Spenser and I wanted to build a company that supports American farmers and processors, strengthens our domestic food supply, and uses the power of a successful business to serve the people and communities around us!
SO FAR WE'VE DONE ALRIGHT!
Ranching might look very different from serving in the military, but there are some things that never change when it comes to doing things right and taking care of your customers!
No matter what... You give your people, supporters and customers the absolute best you can and then some because....

At Chiles Ranch and The Palm Cattle Company my wife Spenser and I are building something rooted in the traditions of America's ranching culture and trying to help and include as many people as we can along the way!
We're raising quality cattle, stewarding the land, providing great beef and taking care of our community and other small businesses!
