For Mack and Spenser Chiles, service has never been confined to a single profession, business, or chapter of life. Whether through military service, charitable work, agriculture, or community involvement, the couple has built their lives around a belief that success carries with it a responsibility to serve others.

That commitment was recently on display when the owners of Chiles Ranch and Palm Cattle Company visited the Senior Citizens Council of Madison County after receiving a heartfelt letter from Ms. Lisa, a dedicated employee whose daily work helps ensure local seniors receive the care, meals, and support they need.
Moved by her message and the council's mission, Mack and Spenser decided to help.
At a time when beef prices remain at historic highs across the country, the couple donated approximately $5,000 worth of premium beef to support the organization's meal program and help continue providing nutritious meals to seniors throughout the community.
The donation included some of the finest cuts produced by the ranch—ribeyes, New York strips, and filet mignon—the same quality beef the family proudly serves at their own table.

For the Chiles family, the gift was about far more than food.
It was about honoring a generation that spent decades building communities, raising families, serving their country, working hard, and laying the foundation for future generations.
With deep roots in Florida, Mack Chiles is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL, entrepreneur, and ranch owner. As the grandson of former Florida Governor Lawton Chiles, he carries forward a family tradition of public service shaped by both his overseas military experience and family legacy. Today, he remains dedicated to serving the people of Florida through servant leadership and community engagement.

His wife, Spenser Chiles, shares that same commitment. For the past nine years, Spenser has worked with her family run charity Support Our Troops, one of America's leading military charities, helping support active-duty service members and military families across the country. Through her work, she has witnessed firsthand the sacrifices made by those who wear the nation's uniform and the families who stand beside them.

The families visit to the Senior Citizens Council reflected those values.

While spending time with seniors during the visit, Mack had the opportunity to sit down with 95-year-old Mrs. Lonnie Robinson.
The conversation would become one of the most memorable moments of the day.
Before leaving, he asked her a simple question:
"What's the secret to a long, healthy life?"
Without hesitation, Robinson smiled warmly and replied:
"Praise the Lord."
The answer was immediate, sincere, and unforgettable.
For Mack and Spenser, it served as a reminder that despite the challenges and distractions of modern life, faith, gratitude, humility, and purpose remain among life's most enduring values.
The Senior Citizens Council of Madison County depends on the dedication of employees, volunteers, and community supporters who work quietly behind the scenes every day. Their efforts may not always make headlines, but their impact is felt throughout the county.
Organizations like the council represent the very best of community service—neighbors helping neighbors and ensuring that those who once cared for others are not forgotten.
The Chiles family's contribution helped provide meals, but their visit also carried a message of appreciation.
A message that the men and women who built our communities, served our nation, raised families, and sacrificed for future generations are worthy of honor, respect, and gratitude.
As the day came to a close, the lesson that lingered most came not from a speech or a ceremony, but from the words of a 95-year-old woman whose wisdom had been earned through a lifetime of experience.
Sometimes the greatest truths are also the simplest.
"Praise the Lord."
